Poorman's Paradise is a
unique resort run solely by a native Tico family. Poor
Man's Paradise allows you both the opportunity to travel to the Osa Peninsula at
a reasonable price, as well as to enjoy the warm, personalized service provided
by the Amaya Family on their private homestead. The restaurant and bar
provide great service, traditional Costa Rican food and drinks, and whenever you
go fishing the Amayas will prepare your catch for dinner. All lodging rates
include three meals a day. Breakfast
offers a variety of fresh, local fruits and your choice of typical Costa Rican
fare. Lunch can be in house or packed to go. Dinners are always a special event;
everyone gathers to share stories of the day while enjoying a plentiful and
delicious meal. After your fulfilling meal relax under our outdoor bar, enjoy a
cocktail and a few sweet latin tunes.
No rocky climbs to your cabin,
simply walk a few meters to the magnificent beach. The only passerbys will be a
few locals walking down the beach with their fresh catch or school children
taking a recess from the one room schoolhouse or a few local soccer fans on
their way to the jungle immersed soccer field at the other end of the beach.
All cabinas are modest but very clean and comfortable and
have private baths with running water and showers. Private porches with
hammocks and comfortable chairs.
